Pediatric practices focus exclusively on children — from managing dental anxiety to treating baby teeth and monitoring jaw growth. The whole visit, from the waiting room to the words we use, is designed for kids.
By their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing — whichever comes first. Early visits are quick, gentle, and build familiarity that pays off for years.
Often yes. Baby molars stay in place until around age 10–12, and untreated decay can cause pain, infection, and problems for the adult teeth developing underneath.
Every six months for most children. Regular short visits keep small problems small — and keep the dentist a familiar face rather than a scary one.
Medicaid and Child Health Plus are accepted for pediatric dentistry, plus Healthfirst, Fidelis, MetroPlus and most major plans. We verify your coverage before the visit.
